For children world-wide with a life threatening diseases

A Service project that involves our sending picture post cards to seriously ill children. Many children are hospitalised or confined, some are struggling with life threatening diseases. And the act of receiving pretty pictures from all over the world, from caring Lions, might just add a smile or two, maybe even give some new reasons to respond to treatments, hopefully to improve, and perhaps even give a ray of sunshine to their parents.

A SAMPLE OF LETTERS FROM SOUTH AFRICAN CHILDREN

Altie aged 16 from TZANEEN mother writes Cards received to date 200 from 3 countries I would like to send birthday and Christmas messages to the senders of the postcards. Thank you very much. Altie is doing well. She has been in remission for 3 years now and is very healthy. Thank you for all the messages, she enjoys receiving them. She wonders whether she should visit different countries/towns (big lady) Thank you for all the effort. It is very interesting and we look out on the Internet to see what is happening. Izelle Aged 13 from Pretoria Cards received 85 from 9 countries My hobbies are pencil drawings and embroidery I want to say thank you to all the people that have sent me cards and postcards. It is very special and I appreciate every one. I am completely better now, but you must still send me cards. Every time I get a card my eyes light up with happiness. The cards have meant so much to me, especially when I was in hospital undergoing chemo treatment. It was nice to know that there was someone else thinking of me. I have sent a photo with to show you how I look now (Completely different from the previous photo don't you think?) Thank you for your interest and may you be blessed. Nadia 12 years old from Lichtenburg Cards received 88 from 15 countries My hobbies: are to look at my postcards, to collect pictures of cell phones so that one day when I get one I will know which one to choose, to sing and listen to music, colouring in, one of biggest is to collect pictures of Britney Spears Okay these are just a few. There are lots more, but to many to fit on this page. A few things about myself. My name is Nadia and I am 13 going on 14. My birthday is on the 14th September. I stay at Lichtenburg High. I would like to visit the people that send me the postcards one day. I would like to learn about there countries that way. My dreams. My dream is to be a successful Theatre sister, to have cell phone and meet Britney Spears.
